Hi, I am also a new member. I am in the thought process of creating a book of shadows for myself. I want mine to be functional, artistic, and a heirloom for my family (the open-minded ones that is).

Good Day All,

I haven't posted in awhile because I've been consumed with my elderly mother's deteriorating condition... It is so depressing to watch her mind and body fail her... Oh well, that is what has kept me busy...

Today I found a few minutes to relax and was surfing the YouTube when I came across a V-log by a young pagan that I found interesting... in any case, she posted a video on making what she called a spell book. It was a rather small book, but I thought that some of you may like it and find it adaptable to a larger scale if desired...

I love to use calligraphy in my Bos, it looks really authentic. and Fran i too make my own cards. i am a creative and love genuine hand made stuff. I hand made all my wedding invites and wrote them in calligraphy. love and light, kat.

i do calligraphy too. i make handmade cards. but to use it in the BOS would be so cool. i started with calligraphy for dummies. is a very good starter book. i printed off a ton of sheets to practice with. very enjoyable

Happy for you and your new project... If you find any good websites on learning calligraphy, or book titles, or just some helpful hints for other new calligraphers pleas share them... I am sure you will find others who would be interested.

Hello I'm Ben, I just joined this fine looking group so I could tell someone that I've just got myself a calligraphy pen, I am quite excited about it, If I'm going to make a book then I've got to start practicing! It should be fun though.

My health has taken a turn for the worse... and while I work on healing, I'm finding I will not have time for a Lammas or Lughnasadh article for this group... I hope I'm feeling better by the equinox... So sorry...
