Hi new to this group. Have two cats and two dogs and a whole garden full of birds (not mine - borrowed from nature) and what I still want is a fish tank, but to get it past the cats and the husband is another thing. Love to be here. Kind blessings

Thank you Mystic! It just seems like I should be used to it by now, ya know. He sure isn't the first animal I've ever lost. Or the first loved one... But, its jus so sad. Especially for my husband, who builds bonds with animals, not people... Any way, I know this is a bit weird to ask here, but if anyone knows were I can print a copy of Rainbow Ridge let me know. I think my dh needs to have it.

Dearest Dawn I am so sorry to hear about poor Sam. I have had many animals and it is always heart rending when they die. You should light a candle for the Goddess Diana as she is the protector of small animals and will watch over him, I have always found it helpful to write a little something in my book of shadows too, I know this is probably breaking with tradition a bit but breaking rules has always been my middle name. I used to have a dog called Sam, a springer spaniel actually, he was an absolutely wonderful dog and I loved him deeply. At the age of 13 he became very ill and I lost him, I was devestated, couldn't get over it and swore I would never have another dog, the pain was to much...needless to say I did get another dog, or strictly speaking my husband got a dog, I was still adamant I didn't want a dog. Anyway 8 years on we still have that dog and I love him to bits, his name is Murphy and he is a border collie and completely mad.
Keep up the good work with the animals
I will light a candle for Sam and say a prayer for him.
Brightest Blessings to you and your husband ~Mystic~

Hello! I'm new!
My dh and I are true animal lovers. Though we started out breeding German Shepherds, we just decided rescuing was better. Since then we have rescued and re-homed dozens of animals. From dogs to lizards, to fish and cows.

Well, my dh rescued his first dog ever when he was 12 years old. He found a 2 year old black lab tied to a tree, starving, and sad. That was 11 years ago. Sadly, my hubby's doggie died today. Two weeks ago, our dear Sam had a stroke. The vet said, he was in no pain, to bring him home and let him go. Well, hubby went to work today, and our Sam had a seizure, and I think what may have been a massive heart attack.

I so wish hubby would have been here. He loves this dog so much!!!

I request some prayers, and maybe a candle, so that my hubby will allow himself the ability to grieve. (As he doesn't believe in grieving...)

Thanks for listenin'.

That's great news, Rhiannon! I'm glad you got piece of mind. Anmials are the best things to walk to planet. If only humans could learn a few things about loyalty from dogs, huh? LOL Have a safe trip home.
Brightest Blessings!

Yes ma'am, finally got hold of em & my dogs are doing good! We'll be goin home in a little bit, so I'm happy. I get out of sorts when it comes to leaving my animals. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that gets that way. I just love my dogs to death, thank you so much for your help & understanding. I hate the thought of animals suffering because of the things us humans do. Like having to stay outside in the heat like that. They never question us or things we do & still they love us anyway.. Congratulations on your new kitties! I bet they are adorable!! I'll have to look at your pictures. Kittens are so fun!!
